When I began my journey as a Fun Stampers Journey coach, I decided to sign up for the monthly Bloom Box kit. I felt this was a great way for me to experience a variety of FSJ products without having to spend a lot of money. Since I have been receiving my Bloom Boxes for the last five months, I have been pleasantly surprised how a unique technique is incorporated into the card designs of each kit. I and the other ladies really look forward to receiving our Bloom Box in the mail each month. We have enjoyed them so much, we are going to sign up for another six months. The kits are $24.95 plus shipping and tax. The kits include cardstock and embellishments to complete four cards along with an exclusive stamp set valued at $18.95. The kits also include detailed color step-by-step instructions on how to put each card together. As an added bonus, there is usually Sparkle Dust, sequins, etc. left over which can be used on another project. ***

February features a beautiful butterfly stamp set. It’s not too late to get yours! Click here (make sure to enter my FSJ Coach number 818561 so I will receive notification of your purchase).

This week’s Freshly Made Sketches #199 challenge is:

FMS Final 199-001

I decided to use SU! Watercolor Wings stamp set for this challenge. I stamped the larger butterfly in Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay inks and the smaller butterfly in Tangerine Tango and Tangelo Twist with Daffodil Delight accents and sequins from the Watercolor Wonder Kit (love that kit). The bottom of the card is accented with a strip of Cherry on Top DSP and washi tape from the Watercolor Wonder Kit (did I already mention, I LOVE THAT KIT).

I sat down this afternoon to complete a card for the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 139 Challenge. The design team created a lot of awesome samples to spur the imagination. The challenge sketch is below:

I wanted to have a Mother’s Day card to share with my group of stampers; so, to work I did go. I really, really, really, (did I say really???) love the Birthday Bash DSP and its color combinations. I just can’t get enough of Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive.. It just reminds me of summer. The sample sketch looks like a 6″ x 6″ card, but I whittled mine down to a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ card. I wanted a fresh, clutter free card; therefore, I only stamped one large flower in Calypso Coral and accented the sentiment with a smaller flower in the same color. I accented the card with butterflies and diamond rhinestones tinted with a Blendabilities marker (Wild Wisteria – darkest color). I made a scallop oval mat for the sentiment by punching two oval scallops, cutting them in half (one vertical; the other horizontal). I then placed them behind the oval with the sentiment to create a border. If there was overlapping that showed, which it did, I trimmed off that portion of the scallop.

I think the card turned out just like I envisioned. I didn’t have a “Hot Mess” in this week’s challenge like I did in a challenge I entered last week. LOL
