Recently, a friend’s husband had bypass surgery. A card featuring Dr. Marcie stamp and coordinating dies from a Club La-La Land Kit was the perfect set to create a get well soon card.

La-La Land Crafts has the most wonderful collection of stamps and dies to fit any occasion. Their stamps and dies combined with FSJ and Pink and Main supplies created the perfect card.

The base is FSJ Whip Cream CS with a FSJ Turbo Teal mat die cut using a Pink and Main die, the plaid mat is FSJ printed paper from my huge collection of printed paper, the EKG heart with beats is die-cut with one of the coordinating dies from the kit using FSJ Cranberry Bliss CS and the pill bottle is another of the coordinating die-cut using FSJ Whip Cream CS. Marcie and the pill bottle are colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Here is a list of the markers I used for coloring (all colors are the original blend unless noted):

Skin: FS9, EB2, FS6 Illustrator markers and FS4, TN3 and FS2
Cheeks: CR3 Lips: CR3, FS8 Illustrator
Dress and Headband: BGR3, BT8, IB3, AB1
Coat: GG2, GG1 and Blender

One of my favorite subscription kits is Scrapping for Less Flavor of the Month. I love that it includes 5 kits in one. This post features a card from the May 2019 FOTM Banana Split kit.

I created a sweet birthday card featuring two fairies. One dressed in pink and the other in blue with a tiny green butterfly floating above a bed of mushrooms. All images are colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The vine is a Fun Stamper Journey die and the oval is a Spellbinders die (see product list below).

Check out the flower power featuring Flower Cone 2, August digital release with Little Blue Button Stamps. Such an elegant digi stamp for creating all occasion paper projects.

I chose Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers as my coloring medium for this card. This image was so much fun to color. It is a great image to color using alcohol markers, colored pencils or watercoloring techniques.

I created a birthday card for a special friend. All supplies are Fun Stampers Journey products except for the birthday Sentiment. The Sentiment came from Pink and Main’s Fired Up stamp set.

If you are like me, there are times a little encouragement from friends or family can help to carry you through a rough time. One way to encourage someone is sending them a card.

Join me and hop along for Courtney Kreeber, Mary Polanco and Jenn from Scrapbena Creations Encourgement Hop. I know you will be inspired to create your own cards of encouragement.

Encouragement comes to many of us through God’s Word. I chose Divinity Designs’ Grace’s Strength for the scripture encouragement (click here to check out their website).

Paper Nest Dolls’, Avery with Cross added the cuteness factor. (click here to see their adorable stamps).

I chose FSJ Turbo Teal for the card base. I die cut a rectangle out of the front panel of the card base and a rectangle out of a piece of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Turbo Teal cardstock. I layered a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of acetate between the front panel and the additional piece of Turbo Teal cardstock and glued the panels together. This created a finished look on the backside.

This is the view from the backside of the panel. The extra pieces of cardstock as a frame and the extra white pieces of cardstock on the back of the colored image give the card a clean and finished look.

Next, I die-cut a frilly rectangle frame out of Whip Cream cardstock with Spellbinder’s Shapeabilities Tallulah Frill Layering Frame Small Etched Rectangle die (that’s a long name, wouldn’t you say?). I used the same stitched rectangle die to cut out the middle portion of the frilly frame.

I stamped the sentiment on the right-hand side of the cut-out piece of cardstock. The grassy hill was die cut with a Divinity Designs grass border die and the bottom and sides were die-cut with the stitched rectangle die I used earlier.

I added two candy dots to the top portion and adhered the rectangle onto the inside back flap.

I die cut a adhered the frilly frame to the front panel. Now, to color Avery. It was so much fun to pull out my Spectrum Noir markers and color this sweet girl.

Skin: FS2, FS3, FS4 SN Illustrator FS9 and FS2 (cheeks) and a touch of TN4
Hair: TN2, TN4, TN5, BO2, BO3
Roses: BP1, BP2, BP3
Cross: TN1, TN2, TN3, TN4
Dress: AB1, AB2, AB3
Hair and Dress Shading: FSJ Color Burst Pencils

I fussy-cut Avery leaving a small white border. To create a finished back (it can be seen when the front of the card is opened), I traced around her and cut out two more outlines of her using scrap white cardstock. I glued all the layers together and then adhered her to the front acetate panel using glue dots (you can see them but it’s not too noticeable).

Here is the finished card.

Next on the Hop is Christine Marino.

I know many of you have had pets that have passed on and it can be heartbreaking to lose a pet that is like a child (ya know what I mean). I lost an angel puppy named Chewie several years ago. Once he was gone, I just didn’t want to invest my heart into having another puppy.

Chewie

Well, time heals all wounds and the last year I have wanted to share my life with another little buddy. I knew I wanted a puppy that looked like a Havanese. I researched Cavapoos, Bernedoodles, Shihpoos and several other breeds. Just by chance, I learned there is a breed which is a cross between a Havanese and a Poodle called a Havapoo.

I placed my name on a wait list and two days ago, I got the email saying I should look at the available Havapoos and choose the puppy I wanted. I chose a very cute chocolate and white puppy and named him Webster. I will be able to pick him up around August 2nd.

Here are some pictures of him. He looks so serious, but adorable.

Once I chose the puppy I wanted, I had to send a deposit to secure my choice. To celebrate having Webster being a part of the McGee family, I bought a digi stamp off of Etsy from Mujka designs. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and FSJ Color Burst pencils. The mats were cut out with a Pink and Main die from a very old paper pack from my stash.

Here is the card. It’s just so cute!

I will keep you all updated on the process and his first day home!

Spring time brings us so many wonderful flowers and to celebrate Spring flowers, I am featuring Little Blue Button Stamps, Tulips digital stamp.

What a beautiful digital stamp and so much fun to color. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and FSJ Color Burst Pencils to create a stunning card. I think this digi stamp will brighten anyone’s day.

Here are some in progress pictures taken at the table in the screened-in porch from our condo in St. Augustine, FL.

These digital images (see below) were brought to life using a variety of coloring mediums. The purple pink tulips (upper left hand corner) were colored with the Tombow Dual Brush markers using a blender pen. The leaves were colored using the Dual Brush markers and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. The pink tulips (upper right hand corner) were colored with Spectrum Noir markers and FSJ Color Burst Pencils. The magnolia blossoms (lower center) were colored with Fun Stampers Journey Color Burst Pencils.

Although I had a rough start with the pink tulip card, it turned out beautifully. The Tammy Tutterow Tiny Sentiments Stamp from Happy Grams is perfect for any occasion. The card is accented with FSJ Special Day Organza Ribbon and Crystal Clear Nuvo Drops (can’t see them in the picture).

Vacation time is just around the corner. Summer will be here, kids will be out of school, families and friends will take off to their favorite vacation destination to relax and enjoy life.

This adorable digital stamp image called Vacation Time is exactly what I’ll be doing in the month of May; relaxing by the pool or on the beach with a nice cool drink. One of my family’s favorite places to get-a-way and relax is St. Augustine Beach, Florida. What is your favorite place to vacation? Let me know in the comments.

The Vacation Time image was so much fun to color. I used my Fun Stampers Journey Color Burst pencils to bring this image to life.

I have the most adorable little boy featured in this post. Not only is he super adorable, he loves to bake and his name is Luca.

Baking Luca stamped image is from La-La Land Crafts and it is part of Scrapping for Less, February Flavor of the Month kit called Whip It Up! The good news is there are some kits still available. You can click here to order the kit (I recommend the Banana Split kit).

I stamped Luca onto Spectrum Noir alcohol marker paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I had planned to color him with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, but my friend brought her Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils and I used them to color Luca. They blend so well and allowed me to create fine details on Luca very easily.

Here is Luca with some delicious chocolate chip cookies and ice cold milk. Yum!

Let me know in the comments your favorite baked treat or treats. My favorite baked treats are anything cake like (cake, brownies, muffins, etc.).

Supplies:

Click on the Consumer Crafts banner below to order Faber-Castell Polychromos (120 pencils) or Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. They are on sale this week 20% off art supplies and the Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers are 6 for $6 or 24 pack for $22. If you miss out on this sale, they have 20%-25% site-wide sales at least every 4 weeks. These are the best prices I have found.

Hello! I have just created my first post to the Little Blue Button Blog. I am so excited to share with you the card I created using Steam Punk Jessica

I colored Jessica using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. Once she was colored and cut out, I collected two Gel Press pieces of cardstock from my stash to use in making the card.

Next, I gathered other supplies for this creation.

I wanted to incorporate gears onto the Gel Press pieces of cardstock and used a FSJ stencil to apply Pumpkin Bread and Haystack inks to the stencil leaving a faint impression of gears.

Gold glitter washi tape from the discount aisle at Tuesday Morning was placed under the die cut border. The final touch was a sprinkling of FSJ Bronze silk.

To complete the card, I placed Jessica on a Haystack cardstock oval mat. The card is finally accented with Candy Drops. This card turned out so beautiful. I hope you like it.

If you would like to watch the video where I colored Jessica (click here).
